Angela Corprew-Boyd
has always been one to set her mind on things she hoped for,
knowing that with faith, God was able to perform them. As
she grew up, the eighth child of ten, she didn’t allow the
negative statistics spoken in her spirit to hinder her from
pursuing her destiny. Understanding what a mighty seed she
was carrying, she allowed God to anoint and appoint her to
do His will. Her motto: “Being confident of this very thing,
that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it
until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6, KJV)
With a passion to see and assist God’s people to walk in
their purpose, she has an anointed fervor to teach and
preach the unadulterated truths of God’s word. Praying that
they will embrace what will escort them to their destiny,
her desire is that men and women separate their pain from
their predestined purpose while “forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which
are before.” (Philippians 3:13b, KJV) Angela impresses upon
all humanity the need to unmask who they think they are and
confront the real-life issues trying to keep them from
fulfilling their dreams. In her pursuit of purpose, the Lord
led her to follow her own predestined purpose according to
His will for her life. God established the ministry, Women
Empowered in the Millennium Inc. and Angela Corprew-Boyd
Ministries, Inc. for her.
Since the inception of her ministries, she has traveled to
London, Africa and Jamaica as well as through the US,
including the Hampton Roads area, to teach and preach the
gospel, and to serve as a conference consultant. Her
Empowered Leadership Training Sessions have included
ministering to such groups in the church as deacons, pastors
and missionaries; men, women and youth; and the annual
Virginia Union University Samuel DeWitt School of Theology
Leadership Training Conference. She is also the author
Preparation for the Ultimate Purpose: If I Perish, Let Me
Perish, But I’m Next and Church Hurt: The Wounded Trying to
Heal.
The Lord has also afforded Angela the opportunity to pursue
higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science
degree in English with a minor in Speech from Old Dominion
University (Norfolk, VA); her Master’s degree from Norfolk
State University in Urban Education/Administration and
Personnel Management; and her doctoral degree from Regent
University (Virginia Beach, VA) in Strategic Leadership. She
is an Assistant Principal in the Chesapeake Public Schools
system, and an Adjunct Professor at Norfolk State
University. She was ordained an Elder in the gospel
ministry, and God appointed her to the staff at First
Baptist Church, Berkley (Norfolk, VA) as the assistant to
the pastor where she served faithfully for six years. Her
spiritual covering is Bishop Kim and Elder Dr. Valerie
Brown, Pastors of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in
Chesapeake, VA where she serves as the Ministry Leader of
the Associate Ministers.
She is the proud parent of three children, Devin, Donovan
and Dawn.
